Action Poems

Here's what we did: Click here to see our work.
	The students, as a class, brainstormed as many verbs as they could think of, with all verbs recorded on the SMART Board or whiteboard.
	Each child chose a different verb.
	The students were introduced to the poetry template and discussed how to make the poem interesting.
	Every student wrote a rough draft on lined paper. Then, with teacher assistance, they revised and edited their writing.
	The students used the final copy sheet to write their poem and draw a picture that matches their poem.
	These are put together to create a class book.
