Blue Poem

1.  Using the SMARTBoard, the students were introduced to the color word blue.

2.  Then, still using the SMARTBoard, the students found blue items from the Kidspiration graphics to put into the blue porthole Kidspiration template.

Click here to download the template.

3.  The students were then introduced to the poem called, "Blue." The poem was read several times, looking for the color word and rhyming words.  The students were asked what the poem tell them to do, which is to draw something blue.

4.  The students were then shown how to use the Paint program to draw pictures.  The tool to be used was the
paintbrush.

5.  The students then opened their folders and created pictures using the paintbrush.  They then shared their drawings on the SMARTBoard.
