Quilt		  

Every year my class creates a class quilt which hangs in our hallway outside our classroom for the entire year.  Here's what we do:
The first week of school this project is worked on this over two days:

  I take pictures of each student while they color their quilt square.  The template is below.

After printing the pictures into the 2nd grade quilt square, the students are given those to decorate.
2nd Grade Quilt Square

  I then use clear packaging tape on the back and tape them together into a class quilt.  I usually use one of the 2nd Grade Quilt Square's and write in "Mrs. Hicks' 2nd Grade, 2005-06" where the student picture goes and place it in the bottom right corner of the quilt.
