Welcome to my website.  I have taught at Central Middle School for 8 years.  Communication Arts class includes word work, reading, and writing.  Word work includes spelling, but involves learning patterns to spell related words and using the words correctly in writing.  Reading will be taught using Guided Reading strategies to teach non-fiction in small groups and whole group settings.  Literature Circles will be used to teach fiction.  Writer's Workshop will be used to teach various writing genres.  My goal is to teach students to be lifetime readers and writers.  You may contact me at mccormacks@capetigers.com.
