                      October 19 is
MISSOURI DAY. Author and storyteller Ross Malone ( http://rossmalone.com/default.aspx )                     will be in the library from 10:00-11:00 sharing little-known stories about our state.
                      October 21:  LYCEUM with Martha Short:  Tips on entering the field of teaching
NOVEMBER:  Tuesday, November 15:  LYCEUM with BJ Adler:  Pursuing your dreams
                        
Wednesday, November 16:  Reception in the library for former Cape Central staff (11:00-1:00)

DECEMBER: LYCEUM KFVS-TV news reporter with Holly Brantley concerning careers in journalism.

JANUARY:  LYCEUM with Kate Ford held January 18 for students interested in pursuing medical careers.

The Library Ladies hosted a  Poetry extravaganza transforming the library into a coffeehouse experience reminiscence of the Beat Generation days.
FEBRUARY:  Celebration for Charles Dickens' 200th birthday Monday, February 6 during all lunches!
Cape Girardeau United We Read selection for 2012 is  Crossing the Tracks by Barbara Stuber.  Mrs. Stuber will be in our library February 7 and 8.
