DISCIPLINARY GUIDELINES

Included among the offenses that will result in disciplinary action are:

 

Ø      Disrespect to teacher/staff

Ø      Failure to report to office when directed to do so

Ø      Insubordination (Not following a directive from an administrator or teacher)

Ø      Chronic disruption of the learning process

Ø      Fighting

Ø      Theft

Ø      Gambling

Ø      Threats/Intimidation

Ø      Verbal Assault

Ø      Possession, use, or sale of alcohol or drugs

Ø      Disruptive behavior in the cafeteria, hallways, or gymnasiums

Ø      Failure to follow school rules and regulations

Ø      Failure to do assigned work

Ø      Failure to serve detentions

Ø      Using foul or abusive language

Ø      Tardiness to class or school

Ø      Participating in or inciting a school disruption

Ø      Failure to cooperate with school transportation regulations

Ø      Truancy

Ø      Use of tobacco in a school building, on school property, or on school busses

Ø      Destruction of school property or vandalism

Ø      Possession or use of explosives

Ø      Possession of a dangerous or deadly weapon

Ø      Other disruptive activities

 

The above list is intended to give examples of the kinds of conduct that may result in disciplinary action, but it is not intended to preclude the right of the school to discipline for any conduct that is prejudicial to good order and discipline in the school.
