Introduction

  Do you know what a tropical rainforest is?  Click here to find out!
Rainforests are beautiful places where plants and animals live.  Have you ever visited a rainforest?
 

Task

Wow!  The rainforest is such a beautiful place!  Now, you can see even more of the rainforest!  You will watch the movie,
"FernGully: The Last Rainforest". 

It's the story of some interesting characters who live in the rainforest and how their home is on the road to destruction.  Watch it and see how beautiful the rainforest really is!  After watching "FernGully", you will research the rainforest by finding animals, plants, climate, a problem, and how you will solve that problem.  You will show your research in a power point presentation.  You will also create a "Save the Rainforest" poster!

Process


You will watch the movie, "FernGully".  After watching this movie, you will complete the following activities. 

Create a Power Point Presentation from your research on rainforests.

Design a "Save the Rainforest" Poster to help campaign around your school!

Conclusion

Now you know what a beautiful place the rainforest is.  You also discovered the problems the rainforests are facing.  What can you do to prevent the rainforests from disappearing from our world.
